Instagram for a Facebook Page: A Step-by-Step Guide to Sync Your Business Contact Info

If staff need to use Facebook and Instagram by Meta, then they need to connect to Facebook and Instagram by Meta in their Shopify admin, using their own Facebook account. The staff's Facebook account must have admin permission on the Business Manager and Facebook page associated with the Shopify store to be able to successfully connect to Facebook and Instagram by Meta.

If your Facebook account has an administrator or editor role on a Facebook page, then you can post, comment, and message as the page without customers seeing personal information. Learn more about Facebook Page roles.

On Facebook, you need an admin role for a Page and Business Manager before you can access all of Facebook's settings and make certain changes. Pages and Business Managers have separate account permissions, which means that you need admin roles for each one. The Business Manager that you select in Facebook and Instagram by Meta must be the owner of the Facebook page during onboarding. If the Facebook Page is owned by a different Business Manager, then the Facebook Page isn't listed as an option to connect. If you can't connect a desired Facebook Page, then check that the Facebook Business Manager you are connecting owns the Facebook page, or try connecting a different Business Manager.

Next, you'll be asked for your privacy preferences. Since you'll be just be sharing your photos on a business page, you can select "Friends" -- the people who will actually be seeing your photos are the ones who like the page you'll be publishing to, which we'll get to in later steps.

Tap "Share To" -- that will display all of the places on Facebook where your Instagram photos can be posted. It includes your personal timeline, or any business pages where you have an administrator role.

Sharing your Instagram photos on a Facebook business page allows you to bring strong visuals to multiple platforms with a few simple clicks -- and gives you the opportunity to showcase the personal side of your business. That can go a long way when it comes to engaging with your target audience -- visual content is over forty times more likely to get shared on social media than other types of content.

Facebook Pages allow an organization, business, celebrity, or band to maintain a professional presence on Facebook. Use Applets to grow your Facebook Pages community by cross-posting to and from your page and bringing the best content to your audience, automatically.

Integrate your Square Appointments online booking site with your Instagram business account or Facebook business page to make it easier for customers to discover and book with you. After following the steps below, a Book Now button will appear on your profile or page, allowing customers to instantly book while they browse without leaving the app. The free integration is included with your Square Appointments account and setup is easy.

Connecting to Facebook Business Manager will connect your Facebook page and Meta Pixel to Scheduling. You can also use this method to connect an Instagram profile, if your Instagram and Facebook accounts are linked.

The small scheduler on your profile page, called Featured Services, displays up to three of your appointment types. Clients can click those services to book, or click See All to go to your main scheduler.

When you create your Instagram account, it is automatically set up as a personal account. You will need to switch it to a professional account before linking to Facebook. Doing this will also give you access to perks not available for personal accounts, such as analytics and the ability to run ads. To switch your Instagram to a business account, first click the hamburger menu in the top right of your profile page.

Facebook requires that all Instagram Business accounts are associated with a Facebook Page for authentication purposes. If your Instagram Business account isn't synced to a Facebook page, you will not be able to activate direct publishing in Gain. In this article, we'll check step-by-step every place where you can confirm if your page is properly associated with a Facebook page.

Note: Other roles like Editor or Moderator of a Facebook page, for example, cannot connect a page to Gain. For more information on all Page roles and capabilities, see Facebook Help Center - Page Roles.

An additional requirement by Facebook is that your Instagram account is associated with a page from the Instagram app. You can see if your page is properly synced under Sharing to Other Apps or Linked Accounts in your Instagram app settings.

If your Facebook page isn't listed, follow the instructions to do so. Then, come back to Gain and reconnect the Instagram account from Workflow Settings > Social Channels.

As stated earlier, if you were given access to manage a Page via Business Suite (formerly Business Manager), you need admin access to the Business itself in Business Settings or Full Control to manage the page. If your Business was given access as a Partner to manage a page or assets for another business via Business Suite, confirm that you have Full Control to manage the page in your Business Settings.

1. Head to your Facebook Page2. Click Settings at the top of your page3. Select Instagram on the left side column4. Scroll down and select Connect Account5. Enter your Instagram username and password and Log In

Yep! A Profile is generally your personal page (which might already be linked to your Instagram account as this is the default setting). A Page is public and often business related (say, your brand or product) and needs to be manually connected.

While Facebook has just rolled out this cross-posting feature, people have been posting from Facebook to Instagram for a long while. There are several other ways in which you can post content from a Facebook page to Instagram.

Using this feature is fairly easy as you can simply select the option to share to Instagram while creating an image post on Facebook. However, the feature is limited in functionality and there are several restrictions that apply to cross-posting to Instagram from your Facebook page.

The number of social accounts you can connect depends on your Marketing Hub subscription. Learn more about your account limits in the Social Media section on the HubSpot pricing page.

If you encounter any issues while attempting to connect your page, check out the troubleshooting guide for connecting your Facebook page, or the troubleshooting guide for connecting your Instagram business account.

Your catalog is also available on your Instagram page and you can see it on the profile page under the bio. To drive more sales you can tag products in your posts. To do that upload a photo like you would normally do and then tap on the products you want to tag. You can tag up to five products. Start typing the name of your product as it appears in your catalog and select the name when it appears in the search box. You can tag five products also in a video post and one product in an Instagram Story.
